Emily and Austin | South Carolina State House Engagement Session | Columbia, SC

Back in February, I had a giveaway for a full wedding package to one SC Bride and Groom! The winners of this giveaway were Emily and Austin, and I had so much fun getting their AHL experience started with some engagement shots!

The Magnolias were in full bloom as we headed out to a Columbia city park and the Statehouse. At the beginning, it started to drizzle, but Emily and Austin took it like champs and soon the rain cleared leaving a stunning sunset.

I was able to get beautiful detail shots of her engagement ring in the magnolias and Emily and Austin were willing to do just about anything, even stand in an ant pile, to get the those special shots. Emily wore a gorgeous flowing, vibrant skirt that she had been looking for a special occasion to wear and felt this was it! All of her outfits were full of life and so cute! Emily and Austin are clearly best friends in love!

Spending the afternoon with them further confirmed my decision in the giveaway! It was so fun to get to know them more and see how similar we are, just out of college, buying houses, and embarking on the newlywed adventure. The compatibility was undeniable and we were all able to laugh and have fun while also getting some beautiful pictures! I can not wait to share more of these two in the future!
