The celebration of Anna and Charlie’s union was a perfect combination of relaxation, intentionality, and fun!

Anna and Charlie were married in civil court before Charlie was deployed, but wanted to have a reception for all their friends and family to share in. Although they are both from other areas of the country, they now call Beaufort, South Carolina home and that is where their relationship began, so naturally, that is where they wanted to celebrate.

I was connected to Anna through her wedding planner at Plum Productions. When we met over FaceTime for the first time we immediately hit it off, dogs barking in the background and all!

We started the day off at the VRBO where Anna and family were hanging out. We then went to the Beaufort Inn to do the first look with Charlie and take some special portraits. This was such an intimate and personal time for Charlie and Anna. Behind Charlie’s stoic exterior he is really a fun and sensitive guy and that came out as he interacted with his lovely bride at the Beaufort Inn. His favorite thing was when I asked him to whisper silly things in Anna’s ear to make her smile.

Anna and Charlie were laid back the entire day and that was depicted perfectly at their reception. They intentionally were relaxed and talking to friends and family they have not seen in a long time. The reception was flawlessly put together. Special parts included chocolate from the place in the Forrest Gump movie, a cigar and whiskey bar, a local band called the cluster shucks, and great local food and even better company.

It was so fun celebrating Anna and Charlie with their friends and family!
