Mr. and Mrs. McDougall | Honey Horn Plantation | Hilton Head
Honey Horn Plantation in Hilton Head South Carolina was the most breathtaking backdrop for
Caroline and Zack’s wedding. The entire day was buzzing with beauty, laughter, and fun. It was
a magical day, and every aspect had been meticulously planned, prepared, and set into motion
for the Bride and Groom.
Caroline was a vision of grace and relaxation the entire day. The ladies gathered at Caroline's
mother's house at Rosehill Plantation to get ready. From the very start, everyone around the
bride was celebrating with food and presents. As the ceremony approached, Caroline and her
father got into their special transportation and jammed out to some Tom Petty all the way to
the wedding.
Under a huge Carolina Oak, overlooking the water Caroline and Zack said their vows. As
Caroline came down the isle, Zack smiled almost to the point of giggling. It was a beautiful and
dreamy ceremony.
After the ceremony, the entire bridal party and family were ready to PARTY! But before we let
them run off we got some super romantic photos on the docks.
The spread at the reception was everything a southern bride could of asked for! There were
signature cocktails, shrimp and grits, pork roast, charcuterie boards, and more! The live band
had all the guest dancing the night away! My favorite part of the entire day happened at the
reception with the North Carolina Money Dance. What’s that you ask? Well, basically the groom
allows other men to shag with his bride if they pay her to dance. They dance with her for 15
seconds or so and then it is the next ones turn. Caroline wore a fanny pack to carry all of her
loot and had a huge smile as friends and family took turns dancing with her! It was so much
fun!
Carolina and Zack were easy going and so much fun to work with! They had a blast at all the
parts of their special day which made everyone around them do the same! Congratulations to
